They call Yatesville “The Red Dirt City,” and that red ground affects how a septic system drains. Stewart Septic Services serves Yatesville from Macon.
Yatesville grew up around the railroad in 1888 and was incorporated as a town in 1896, named for A.J. Yates, one of its first settlers and its first postmaster. The tracks are long gone, but the old depot still stands, and Georgia 74 runs through the middle of town on its way between Thomaston and Macon. Locals know it as “The Red Dirt City.” Stewart Septic Services serves Yatesville and eastern Upson County from our home base in Macon.
We're a family-owned company started by Erwin Stewart in 1994. Customers praise our fast scheduling, fair prices and practical advice for avoiding future problems, and the Georgia Department of Public Health lists us as a certified septic tank installer company. In Yatesville we handle pumping, drain field repair, inspections, tank locating and new systems.
Most homes in and around Yatesville depend on septic, including older houses in town and farms and homes on acreage outside it. Dense clay soil can absorb water slowly, so a drain field may struggle after a week of heavy summer rain. If water is pooling in the yard or your drains are slowing down, call Stewart Septic Services at 478-474-2653.

"My neighbor recommended their service and it was a great experience. Every employee I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I thought my tank needed to be cleaned but they told me the problem was only a faulty float valve. They could have taken advantage of the opportunity to do un-necessary work but didn’t."
